Too often, the industry traps great books between two limiting paths. Traditional publishing can narrow ownership and control, while self-publishing often leaves authors and illustrators without the structure and support they need to succeed. Inbound Books offers a third path.

Our cooperative model was built to provide creative support and to allow artists to do what they do best. For this reason, we provide access to the editorial, production, and distribution systems needed to bring strong work into the world. The artist remains an active stakeholder in their own books.
Inbound Books chooses books for their merit, not their resemblance to what is already everywhere else.
We publish original work and updated editions across fiction, nonfiction, and illustrated titles. Our books have a focus on diverse, daring voices and thoughtful storytelling. We are not searching for the next version of what every other publisher is already making. Our goal is to search for the books that deserve to be read, the ones that stand apart because they are true, original, and worth sharing.
